Bennie Cecil Estes, 83, passed away January 28, 2011 at his daughter's home in Selma
Texas. He was born to William Estes and Jewel Estes Owen on April 13, 1927 in
Rockwood Texas. He was a career soldier and Vietnam veteran. Ben married Helen Bust
retired in San Antonio, Texas. After retiring from military service, Ben began a second
career as a master carpenter for Southwest Research Institute. He is survived by his
sister, Billy Ruth Van Huss, his children and their spouces, Elizabeth (Betty) and Tom
Stewart, Patricia J. and Red Cossel, and Richard and Terri Estes, 11 Grandchildren, 14
great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial
Park on Tuesday February 1, 2011 from 6:00pm till 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be
held at Sunset Memorial Park at 12:20 on Wednesday, February 2, 20111 with burial
following at Fort Sam Houston.
